My train pulled in at 18:15 yesterday evening and almost immediately I was whisked away for dinner and a catch up - including copious amounts of cheese and wine at Pickles - would highly recommend. From there my friend and I made our way, rather hastily, through the streets of Edinburgh to see Foil, Arms & Hog. Again another 'would recommend' for them. I met with them after the show to pass on my very high opinion, but there is never anything selfless in my actions anymore, certainly not in Edinburgh, so I did also approach them in order to publicise my own show. Shot in the Dark is a talented piece of new writing with some stand out performers (note the modesty) that needs a boost in publicity and needs bums on seats. A comedy is nothing without an audience to laugh at it, so I shamelessly and unabashedly invited them to the show - and proceeded to hound them on social media to drive the point home. I shall endeavour to this with any show I now see, because that's what the Fringe is about. A melting pot of talent, the city is filled with an unrivalled vibrancy. You can taste the excitement in the air (and the rain). So for now Evie is being put on hold and Ethel will assume her place. The sun may have gone in, but that won't stop Ethel's silver lining attitude. People will come see the show, people will love it, and they're missing out if they don't! Friday 17th-26th August, 3:30pm at La Belle Angele is your mission, should you choose to accept it!

HOPE ALL THE HOUNDING IS EFFECTIVE!
